Company is seeking motivated candidates to fulfill the role of Project Manager on a Light Rail Project performing underground storm and sewer utility work as a Subcontractor, in San Jose, California.
This position requires an individual who is well organized and capable of taking on a project from start-up all the way to completion and close out. This individual will be a liaison between Company and the Prime Contractor requiring strong interpersonal skills. This position reports to the Division/Area Manager.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of the project scope; Overall responsibility for safety, quality, and budget for projects scope; Adherence to contract, plans and specifications; Lead, direct and supervise the work of others; Assist the Division/Area Manager with major equipment and project needs; Ensures compliance with Safety and Quality requirements; Able to interpret contract, plans and specifications; Rationalize, analyze and make timely decisions regarding solutions to problems with varying degrees of complexity that are in line with project and organization objectives and guidelines; Represents and ensures Company values and Codes of Conduct are followed and other duties assigned.
Qualifications: BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 10 years of work-related experience or a combination of education and work-related experience equal to 14 years; Requires 3 years of experience as a Project Manager or a project role of similar capacity managing work of others; Strong communication (verbal & written) effectively with internal and external team members and stakeholders; job related technical knowledge necessary to fulfill the role; Strong computer and software skills inclusive of Excel/spreadsheets, Word, Teams, Outlook; and Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
